When I lived in Spain most of the guys who work on the markets were Muslims and we even had the magazines available in Arabic. We went every Saturday to speak to them as they were all English speaking and our target audience. We were instructed to concentrate on finding agreement within their belief system and the JW's. I dont think anyone got further than Paradise and it's location.

WTBTS vs. Islam
by kairos inthe articles and meeting parts have been missing something all along, as far as i can see.. jws are taught to demonize all 'worldly' ( not jws) organizations, individuals and religions as having no value only to be destroyed by god at 'harm-you-gettin'-( armageddon ).. why do they not mention islam?no scathing denouncements?.
the only publication i really remember, was the "mankind's search for god" book that touched on the beliefs and practices of muslims.. why do you think this is the case?.

What do Muslims Really Think - UK Documentary
by cofty inchannel 4 have commissioned a study into attitudes among british muslims.. the documentary starts in an hour from now at 10pm.
if you watch it live or on 4od please share your thoughts.. unlike many other surveys of muslim opinion, which have predominantly been done by phone or online, icm used face-to-face, in-home research to question a representative sample of 1,000 muslims across great britain.
icm also used a “control sample” to compare what british muslims thought with the rest of the british population.. at the top-line level, the survey suggests that a mainstream british muslim majority have similar values and attitudes to the wider british public on issues such as support for british institutions and a feeling of belonging to britain.. but looking deeper into the results, a chasm develops between those muslims surveyed and the wider population on attitudes to liberal values on issues such as gender equality, homosexuality and issues relating to freedom of expression.

2016 Memorial Done & Dusted
by steve2 inwell on this side of the planet, the southern hemisphere/ new zealand, the 2016 memorial service in local kingdom halls will be over for another year.
another great big anticlimax.
some family and relatives will have gone - but unless i ask my sister, i generally have no idea about attendance and partaker numbers.

I missed it. I am normally aware of when it is but this year I was oblivious even though I use the memorial as the anniversary of being "clean" as it was the last meeting I ever went to. :) -

I am leaving the JW's . I am alone and scared. Advice and help needed please

i have been brought up a witness all my life and it is all i know.
i am an ex-elder and pioneer and i don't know anybody outside of the congregation.. i have been unhappy for so long and wanted to leave.

I hope S & L hasn't gone.
I remember coming here when I first left JWdom and was really put off by some posters. "Brutal" is the word I have heard more than once to describe this forum but I believe on the whole we are fair and this is definitely one of the best if not the best pace to come but perhaps a thicker skin needs to be grown for some to fully appreciate what a great place this is. I could not live without it and I love you all.

As many of you know since leaving JWdom I have become totally involved in exotic hedgehogs and now run my own rescue for them. There is a horrible hereditary disease called Wobbly Hedgehog Syndrome that has appeared in the UK. It was known in other countries but this disease is only diagnosed Post Mortem as it is a neurological problem and manifests itself by leaving lesions on the affected hedgehogs brain. Symptoms are similar to muscular dystrophy in humans. We have isolated the lineage of the suspected carrier of this gene but we now need to find out if any from that line have died from WHS in the past or if they are still alive with or without symptoms or if hedgehogs prior to this one died from suspected WHS but no-one was notified. If we can stop it now we can eliminate this awful disease from future UK hedgehogs.
This is where I need your help. How do I start/make a survey, preferably free and get it out to hedgehog owners? Many are on social media so those are not a problem but how do I reach others? Is a pdf the way to go or a website. There are thousands that need to be contacted.
I know this is going to be a mammoth task but there are several of us have volunteered so I don't have to do it alone but I don't even really know where to start and as yet have no funding but if the cost is not too much we can pay for it ourselves.
I really hope someone can point me in the direction I need to go. Thank you

his claims are based on his observation that the tricks would be impossible to do unless the magicians had made unholy pacts with the devil.. so what's the take of the wtbts?

Science of Scams with Derren Brown exposes the tricks of those making money from gullible people and shows how a ouija board works but back in the 80s our hall believed David Copperfield used demons to make a plane disappear. No mention of illusion at all, it wuz demunz!
